Part Of Speech

Part Of Speech in the English language consists of 8 : 

     1. Noun

            A noun is a part of speech typically denoting a person, place, thing, animal, or idea.
Example of Noun : Ball, Knive, Name, Cat,etc
      2. Verb
           A verb, from the Latin verbum meaning word, is a word part of speech that in syntac conveys an  action, an occurrence, or a state of being.
Example of Verb : Bring, Read, happen, become
      3. Participle
    
        A participle is a form of a verb which is used in a sentence to modify a noun or noun phrase, and thus plays a role similar to that of an adjective or adverb (some languages have distinct forms for adverbial participles and adjectival participles.
Example of Participle : writing, singing and raising, written, sung and raised
     4. Interjection


           In gramar, an interjection or exclamation is a word used to express an emotion or sentiment on the part of the speaker (although most interjections have clear definition. filled paused such as uh, er, um are also considered interjections. Interjections are often placed at the beginning of a sentence.
Example of Interjection : Conventions like Hi, Bye and Goodbye are interjections, as are exclamations like Cheers! and Hooray!. In fact, like a noun or a pronoun, they are very often characterized by exclamation marks depending on the stress of the attitude or the force of the emotion they are expressing. Well (a short form of "that is well") can also be used as an interjection: "Well! That's great!" or "Well, don't worry." Much profanity takes the form of interjections. Some linguists consider the pro-sentences yes, no, amen and okay as interjections, since they have no syntactical connection with other words and rather work as sentences themselves. Expressions such as "Excuse me!", "Sorry!", "No thank you!", "Oh dear!", "Hey that's mine!", and similar ones often serve as interjections. Interjections can be phrases or even sentences, as well as words, such as "Oh!" or "Wowee!"

       5. Pronoun 

             In linguistic and grammar a pronoun is a word or form that substitutes for a noun or noun phrases It is a particular case of a pro-form.
Example of Pronoun : your, mine, 1st person,etc

       6. Preposition

           Prepositions  are a Grammaticaly distinc class of word whose most central members characteristically express spatial or temporal relations or serve to mark various syntactic functions and semantic roles In that the primary function is relational, a preposition typically combines with another consistent to form a prepositional phrase, relating the complement to the context in which the phrase occurs.
Example of Preposition : in, under, toward, before,etc

     7. Adverb

           An adverb is a word that changes or qualifies the meaning of a verb, adjective other adverb, clause,  sentence or any other word or phrase, except that it does not include the adjective and determiner that directly modify nouns
Example of Adverb :  how?, in what way?, when?, where?, and to what extent, etc

      8. Conjunction

         a conjunction is a part of speech that connects two words, sentence, phrases, clauses together together. A discourse connective is a conjunction joining sentence This definition may overlap with that of other parts of speech, so what constitutes a "conjunction" must be defined for each language. In general, a conjunction is an invariable grammatical particle and it may or may not stand between the items it conjoins.
Example of Conjunction : and, or, till, because, for, if, etc
